BauBau city

Kota Bau-Bau or Baubau is a government town on the island of Buton, Southeast Sulawesi.Bau-Bau city status on 21 June 2001berdasarkan Act No. 13 of 2001.
The results of the population registration at the end of 2006 amounted to 122,339 souls. Of these, there are number of male population of 57,027 inhabitants (46.61%) and women's 65,312 inhabitants (53.39%).
Value of regional GDP Bau-Bau based on current prices in 2007 for Rp1.254, 49 billion, while based on constant price of Rp586, 32 billion.
On 19 February 2005, Bau-Bau rocked by an earthquake measuring 6.9 Richter scale. There are no casualties in the incident.
